Recent Country Newport News Review: "When we first came into the hotel to check in you could smell that it was clean. The scent of the cleaning supplies was obvious. The room and the hotel itself was clean. There was some places in the tub that had been repaired and rusted and the caulking around the tub was missing in some spots and mildewed in others. The bed was too hard for me but  linens seemed clean. There was sufficient space in the room. The pool seemed clean. My son went in and enjoyed it. There was a notice on the door though that the hot tub was under maintanence until further notice. The worst part of the hotel was the thin walls. I could hear the neighbord tv all through the night. The best part was the continental breakfast. There was a variety of food from cereal to pastry and bagels, to make your own waffles and cooked eggs, sausage, and buscuits. The hot food was replenished frequently as it was emptied. There was also fresh cut fruit and yogurt with toppings. The hotel was also very accomidating with a problem that we had with our trip plans that was not their fault. I would recommend this hotel and will most likely stay here again when we go back next month."
