| I gave this hotel a very commendable review with the caveat that the staff is making the best of what they have to work with.
Hotel is physically old but there's no dirty smell and the staff is fantastic.
Plenty of breakfast too but since they had all the oatmeal fixin's I wished they had oatmeal to go with it!
I wouldn't recommend only because it is very old. |

| I have stayed at two other Country Inn hotels and really like them, and this Williamsburg location did not disappoint. It is VERY close to the colonial village and even has transit available to/from Colonial Williamsburg.
The lobby, rooms and exterior were lovely and all well maintained, including the bathrooms. VERY comfortable beds and pillows, VERY clean, and GREAT staff. The breakfast room is very large and the food was fine ... I love the continental breakfasts!
This hotel also had fresh hot coffee all day and evening -- many hotels don't keep their coffee pots filled late in the day, this one offered both regular and decaf.
Overall, I will stay at this hotel again and it is WELL worth the extra $10 or so in the competitive Williamsburg hotel market (I have stayed at slightly less expensive hotels in Williamsburg that were not nearly as nice). A very good value for the money, IMO.
A freight train operates across the street from this hotel. Although I could hear it in the room it was NOT loud and the train never woke me up or disturbed me. If you are a terribly light sleeper this might be something to consider, but is probably something you will heat at any hotel on the Pocahontas Trail.
You can choose a second Country Inn on the Bypass in Williamsburg. I actually went there first by mistake. It has a larger and more elegant lobby than the Pocahontas Trail Country Inn (my guess is that Bypass is a newer building). Although I didn't go into a room, this location has an impressive entrance and lobby, and the staff was helpful in finding the address of the Country Inn I needed to find.
Overall I have NEVER had a bad or even slightly problematic experience at a Country Inn and Suites. All have been excellent, clean and well staffed. |

| The service at this hotel is good. However, we were very disappointed with the lack of soundproofing. For the first time ever, we were able to hear a baby crying in the room next to ours and the one inch gap under the door to the hallway let in all the noises from the hallway. |

| We stayed at this hotel the first weekend in Nov. We have stayed here when it was owned by another hotel chain several years ago. It is nicer now then it was a few years ago. The rooms are comfortable and clean, spacious and sufficiently furnished. There is an additional sink outside of the bathroom, which is really nice when there are several people staying in the room. I was there with my mother and my 2 little daughters. The extra sink came in handy for someone to brush teeth, etc, while another person was in the shower. The complimentary breakfast was incredible; there is everything you could ever want available. This saved us a bundle! Staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again next year for our annual Williamsburg trip (we've been doing this for 28 years and have stayed at several places in the area). |

| Last Saturday we attended CNU's Family Weekend festivities, so we just needed a nearby hotel for the night. The Country Inn & Suites was perfect -- excellent service, a good breakfast, and 30 minutes closer to home... plus it was a great deal! You can't beat that! |

| The hotel was homey and inviting. The staff were accommodating. The room & bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. It was close to Colonial Williamsburg. I would stay there again. |
