Recent Microtel Newport News Review: "This hotel was nice for its 2 star rating. The room was clean, the front desk staff courteous and forthcoming with towels, etc. This hotel offers a Bally's visit which has a pool and gym area, but if you bring kids under 13, you have nowhere here for them to swim because Bally's does not allow kids under 13. This was disappointing for our children. Our room with 2 queen beds also had a very large mirror and a "window cushion bed" which could be used by a small child or adult either on the window or move the cushion to the floor. Full-length smokey mirror along one wall was interesting to the kids, they liked putting on 'shows' in the mirrors."
